Yeah, again, egotistical, but hey, you might not want to have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page!

So, Sherahbim makes lovely dresses. REALLY lovely dresses. The only “problem” with them is that they don’t come in nearly enough colors.

I decided to change that, starting with her beautiful Greensleeves gown. I’d always adored it, but green just doesn’t work on all of my Sims — plus it would be boring if they were all wearing exactly the same dress, you know? So one day, I cranked open Bodyshop and the GIMP and started messing around. A few months later, I had ten recolors of the gown and figured enough was enough and it was time to share. ๐Ÿ˜‰ So here goes nothing.

But before I let you at the pictures, a few things to get out of the way:

Age Groups: Adult/Young Adult (I figured most elders wouldn’t go for this type of dress, but if things are different in your kingdom, you’re welcome to use SimPE or the Wardrobe Wrangler to change it. :))
Category: Everyday & Formal
Mesh: iamliz13‘s Alpha-Editable Medieval Gown for Adults and Teens. Mesh is NOT INCLUDED!!!
Townified? Yes
Textures: Sherahbim
Special Thanks To: Sherahbim and iamliz13 for doing the hard parts (textures & mesh); Andavri for telling me how to fix everything I managed to screw up (up to the point where she downloaded GIMP to tell me how to do it in that program);ย and from the GOS Show Off Your Creations Thread, Theraven for telling me how to turn down a bump map, cheshirekatttt for general encouragement (I will get to some of those colors someday!), Almight Hat for being awesome, EricaNorthman for encouragement, UmbraLillium and Astrid for the idea to use Hogwarts colors, VampireBettie for encouragement, and TheChangeling for more encouragement. You guys all ROCK! Thank you so much!

That’s all I can think to say, so — picture time!

If I did this right, you should be able to click on all pictures for a bigger one.

Anyway, as you can see, the gals from the sorority were kind enough to agree to do the modeling for me. In this first picture, we’ve got four of the noble girls in their families’ colors. The labels on the bottom of the gown are exactly how they are labeled in the .7z for easy deleting purposes.

If you like Hogwarts, you can use Pendragon as a Gryffindor gown and Du Lac as a Ravenclaw gown — I went with the movie colors.

I didn’t do a Gwynedd gown, because the Greensleeves gown is already GREEN and I figured it was close enough. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Photobucket really did a number on this one. I swear they don’t look so crappy and pixelated in-game!

Anyway, after this photo was taken, Lynn, Jessie and Dannie decided to change and met up in the back garden to snag a shot of the last three dresses:

These, I think, are some of my favorites. Don’t be surprised if you should happen to see them again. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now for a quick close-up on some of the details I somehow failed to obliterate:

It’s scary just how often those two run around doing just that. *shudders*

One last picture to prove how these gowns are comfortable, flexible, and appropriate for all types of athletic and quasi-athletic activities:

I think Clarice might be a little camera-shy?

Anyway, that’s all! Enjoy! And for those of you who made it this far — DOWNLOAD!

    • Thanks Van!! I’m so glad you like them!

Heloise totally is a Ravenclaw. Maybe a Slytherin on her bad days. She’s only wearing the Hufflepuff dress because Du Lac = Ravenclaw and wearing one’s family colors trumps house affiliation.

After all, if we were going by house affiliation, Leona would so be a Gryffindor, and then she’d have to wear the Pendragon dress. And Garnet would probably be in the Slytherin dress. And maybe Lynn could be in Hufflepuff.

      But yeah. Confusion abounds! ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Heehee ๐Ÿ˜€

Also, I noticed this the first time, but I forgot to mention it: is that Jessie’s usual formal hair, or did you change it? For some sort of special event, perhaps–like, I don’t know, a WEDDING? ๐Ÿ˜‰

        • That’s actually not Jessie’s usual formal hair (her formal hair is the same hair she wears for everyday). Heck, it’s not even her formal hair at this point — I changed her everyday style for this photoshoot. It’s a sneak preview for what her style will be after the WEDDING.

I don’t know if I’ve picked her wedding hair out yet … at least, I can’t really remember if I have, though there’s at least one thing from Hat’s last couple Hair Dumps that is a likely starter. ๐Ÿ™‚

I need to pick out fancy hair for Lynn and Dannie too …

  2. Those dresses are gorgeous! I need to download them later on my other pc – the one where I still have the sims 2 on ๐Ÿ˜›
